I think what makes the movie so funny is that at least half the events that happen in the movie we have already experienced ourselves. In a sense, it's kinda like reflecting on ourselves an laughing about the days gone by.
My fav, though, i near the beginning, when they argued about who the lands belongs to

Many funny scenes... Beside the already mentioned, it made me laugh when the nanny and his old friend meet in the park, doing voluntary work, she marks their limits, and he remembers her as a child and thinks "She hasn't changed a bit" (well animated!).
There some other scenes that are not exactly funny (to make you laugh), but joyful or moving. The very last scene (before that happy ending song starts). And when it starts snowing, the father tries excitedly to take some photos with the family, but they are not interested, so he goes outside alone... Funny with a nice touch of melancholy, I loved that.
