Here's the animated short film "The Heron and the Crane" by Russian animator Yuri Norstein, a friend of Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki who also had a museum exhibit dedicated to him and his work in the Ghibli Museum in late 2003 to early 2004.

Here's the link to the short film "The Heron and the Crane": http://youtube.com/watch?v=HjlMy2nL9RM

Here's a link to info about the Ghibli museum exhibit on his work: http://nausicaa.net/miyazaki/museum/norstein/index.html

Enjoy!

Hehe, thanks Konan...it was pretty enjoyable .

EDIT: Btw, Youtube also has a lot of rare Ghibli stuff too, such as old trailers, etc. Here is something that may interest people -

It's a link to the 5min ending sequence of "Rakugaki Oukouku", animated by Studio Ghibli. Of course everyone who hasn't played the game will be as confused as I was...but still worth watching.

I found another Norstein film on youtube, this time "Hedgehog in the Fog": http://youtube.com/watch?v=03eExsCvaG4
Enjoy!
EDIT: I removed the Future Boy Conan pic in my signature and replaced it with pics of "Puss in Boots" and "Farewell, Beloved Lupin"
