There's been a Spirited Away stage play running in Japan for a few years now, I believe, and they had a recording of it broadcast overseas recently. BUT now it's supposed to be going to London's West End next April-July!

Pre-sales of tickets opened this morning, and I got tickets! I'm going to go and see it next May!
It seems that general booking starts on the 7th, so it'll still be available for anybody else in London or willing to go there. Good seats aren't cheap, but I guess that's just how it is.
I'm still hoping to see the Totoro show too, probably in February.

I'll definitely share my thoughts on it when the time comes! It's still far off though. I can't even get train tickets for it yet.
I think I have seen a little trailer for it at some point when it was announced. The one you're talking about is probably from when they did cinema screenings (could be the same as what I saw, but I'm not sure). But anyway, I think I'd rather not go looking for it again for now. I'm happy to wait for the real thing!

I saw it yesterday! It was really something special. They did an amazing job with the costumes, sets and so on to recreate even very small moments from the film.
It was a bit different from the Totoro show I saw in February. For one thing, this was in Japanese, since they brought the original play over with the cast members and everything. The Totoro show was an English production in the first place. The other big difference is that with Totoro, they had to do a lot of things to expand on and clarify story elements to help it all hang together, but Spirited Away is a much more complex story, so this play was actually VERY faithful to the film.
I'm really glad I got to go!
