The Tale of Princess Kaguya (currently ranked #5) and When Marnie Was There (currently ranked #9) have only ever met in the group stage, where each has eliminated the other once. Strangely enough, if Princess Kaguya hadn't won its quarter final, we would've had the exact same semi final matchups as we had in 2021!
