Sure, any time.
@ Saddletank
You're on the right track, I think. Don't pay attention to the story itself; pay attention to how the story is being told.

Is it in some kind of rhyme scheme? I see "politician", "Salvation" and "oration"...

Nope. That is an interesting observation, though.

Yeah, it's really fun knowing the answer when no one else does. Knowing tons of random trivia really does pay off.

I think I've seen it. I think so, at least I'm looking and can't see any... if I'm right, wow that is weird. Very clever too.
Was the entire BOOK written like this?!

Yes, the entire book was written that way. You can PM me if you don't want to give away the answer.

I'm still just seeing rhyming stuff. It seems to have a rhythm to it...

Maybe think about what all of those rhyming words have in common. That might put you on the right track.

I was going to say they all have a stress on the first syllable, but then some of them don't, and some don't have a stress at all.

Orphic, PM sent. If its what I think it is it's incredible, quite amazing. Why haven't I heard of this book before?

You haven't heard of it, Saddle, because only that specific oddity made the book famous. Otherwise, do note that it didn't exactly win a Pulitzer prize.
Yeah, like Orphic, I know of the book, so I know what's odd about it. To everyone else though, so you'll have less of a headache:
It has NOTHING to do with the plot, story, style of storytelling, poetry, the author, or any of that sort. In short, the literature part of the book is completely irrelevant to its oddidty.
It's a language oddity. One unique only to English.

Have you any idea how hard it is to write anything meaningful in English that way? Let alone a whole book. I don't mind if it's utter rubbish, the fact it even exists is amazing.

Holy crap! How can you write an entire book like that?
Oh, and another clue:
I'm trying hard to avoid putting a particular thing in my words...
