We all know Miyazaki is making a samurai manga here are some pics from it

I dont know when is the release, but i will try to read it if it gets translated. I wonder why even though we have so many people here who are studying japanese language or know it well, we cant do a translation project on any of the Ghibli media.

I seem to remember Roar doing something along those lines in the past. Anyway, I think it is a little tricky because we have a limited number of people who have studied enough to be able to do that (I'm not sure I'd consider myself one of them), and getting the actual source material might be hard too. But in theory it would be cool to do a translation project, and this would be just the thing for it as it's unlikely to receive an official translation for a while.

arren you and orphic are both in japan, and i believe you both have made lots of japanese friends or non-japanese friends. Both of you and the friends[if the release is after the duration of your stay there] of you can actually scan the comics and then send to us.

but the main factor is obviously will. As i dont have any knowledge over japanese language i cant help. atleast until i finish my undergrad i cant start learning japanese. but i am really looking forward to you guys.

Translating isn't really that hard. The problem is the photoshopping that takes quite a bit of work.

I understand you mean the type setting and cleaning the text bubbles and then putting the translated text. I can help with the photoshop work.
