  Hi!

Hi, I'm a newbie, writing from a university in Japan. English is not my first language. Please excuse my mistakes.
I like Ghibli so much, and this thread is interesting!

My favorite Ghibli movie is "Howl's Moving Castle", and I like these quotes.

"A heart is a heavy burden."

"Wait for me in the future!"

Welcome to the Tavern, Green tea... we all hope that you enjoy yourself here. The way to get to know the people in here is to post, post and post some more, lol... We generally like to talk to people and we are worldwide in members...

I have to go for a bit, but I just want to again say, Welcome...
====================================

Hi again, Green tea... very much remember that drink from when I was in Japan long, long ago... lol

join in the 'quotes' thread if you like (or any of the others)...

the previous winner picks a new quote from any of the Ghibli movies and the rest of us have to try and figuree out where it is from. Review the thread and you will see what I mean.

good luck!

No problem, Green tea...

You might go to gen discussion and post your intro there as more people will likely respond to it. I am so jealous that you are there in the country where the Museum is... sigh...

Welcome.

We're not much, but we're friendly. Currently, we're waiting for Arrietty to be released in other parts of the world, so news may be down somewhat. But some of us, like me, have the DVD, so I'll be posting more stuff soon.

Yes, I know, but I will tell you that in only one place have I had green tea that tasted as good as what I had in Japan and that was at Miki-sans on 5th street in San Diego before they went out of business. They had the bestest Sukiyaki that I have ever tasted. Very few Japanese restaurants have it.

I could never make good tea. Then again, my scrambled eggs are green. Cooking fail, fully.

@Green Tea: The English translation would be "From Kokuriko Hills", seeing katakana.

もうすぐと言いましたけど...それはいつでしょうかな?
[You say soon, do you know when?]

はい!カナダ人です!どうぞよろしくおねがいします!

Husky, maybe you should plan a trip back to Japan? I bet you'd really enjoy seeing how much has changed and how much has stayed the same.

I want to go to japan, But not to taste a type of tea specifically.
I have a thing about traveling though... im 14 no passport or ID.... Only ventured around England, but then again traveling is hardly cheap, i have seen plane tickets for more than 340 pound per person... that's more than admission to Glastonbury festival.
(which i live allmost next to by the way.
