All my other friends say they do but maybe it's just my Canadian polar body or something but they haven't exactly done anything.. Wearing tights with thick leggings over top, a long dress, and a thick cardigan with my outerwear.

Posted by husky51 on 01.10.2015, 11:17 PM: I knew pretty much from the git-go that I probably wouldn't be able to afford to send my kids to college. My daughter was paying her own way the an avionics trade school when she dropped out to get married. My oldest son went to college after his tour with the Navy, which paid his way thru college. (which was how I went to college for two years and got my degree. If I had been smarter (no pun intended) I would have known about the GI Bill benefits earlier and been able to use all ten years of my educational benefits. My youngest son never went into the service and probably won't ever go to college. |

Posted by husky51 on 01.11.2015, 12:14 PM: Over here we have local community colleges where tuition is considerably lower than at major universities. When I went in the mid-70's, I think I was paying about $15-25 dollars a class plus books, say another $50-75. Now, it is quite a bit higher, but still within reason IMO, Talking about $100 per class and books and materials are higher. Going to a university can run into the thousands of dollars. I graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Administration of Justice with Emphasis on Law Enforcement. At the time, I was planning on a career in police work, primarily in Border Patrol, but circumstances (family finances) prevented me from taking the time to go to an academy.
