Knowing Miyazaki from books and interviews I don't think he's the kind who does autographs like that, especially not to sell on a website :S

Yes... I haven't heard of any autographs for sale, although it's possible there are some. But I bet there's other things your boyfriend would really appreciate - maybe a stuffed totoro? ![](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Ah okay, thanks guys
I thought a Miyazaki autograph might be a bit of a long shot and probably really expensive.
What are your thoughts on the Ghibli Layout Design Exhibition Art books?
They're pretty expensive but the illustrations are beautiful!

I was at the Studio Ghibli layout exhibit when it was at the Suntory Museum in Osaka. Especially if your boyfriend has an interest in art and drawing, I'm sure he'd like that!
You get to see how the art is put together and drawn, with notes and indications of how the camera should pan across the scene. And I think the artwork looks even better in its raw form, because you can see clearly how it was made, and that it was not generated by a computer.
