I tend to only watch documentaries, mostly history, science, archaeology, art, etc.
Dr Brian Cox has done a number of superb series on science - the earth, the solar system and our galaxy. Magnificent stuff.
Other than that it's Formula 1 racing
The only 'reality' show I watch is Channel 4's "Grand Designs" about the building projects of unusual homes from conception to completion. Kevin McCloud is a good presenter, knows what he's on about and is sufficiently 'arty' and the show is a nice mix of architecture, some history, environmental issues and that nice buzz so many get from peeking inside other people's homes.
Some idea of the kinds of projects the series covers:

A couple of years back Waldemar Januszczak did a very interesting 4-part series on the early French Impressionists - not just their art but pocket-bios of each one. Thoroughly interesting and entertaining with a nicely kooky presentation style. Its those kinds of shows that TV was designed for.

I'm living happily without TV since 18 (I'm 46), but then Internet came (yes, there was a time without Internet) and so now I'm less of an outcast
Lately I've seen some series online.
Currently watching: Treme , recommendable, specially if you like New Orleans music.

As I don't actually have a TV, usually I don't watch much that currently airs. I keep up with Futurama and Adventure Time, and usually Doctor Who but I've fallen behind recently. Lately I've also been watching Parks and Recreation and Arrested Development.

Parks and Recreation got really excellent. First season is just okay, but from there on out it's absolutely wonderful. So many good characters.

I remember Bonanza. The way the parchment burned away around the name in the ending titles was very cool I thought.

I agree, the first season is nothing special but it really picked up after that.
Anyway, I can now remove Futurama from the list of what I'm watching, as it is now over (not that this hasn't happened before). The seasons after it was revived were less consistent, but there were still some great episodes, and it was definitely worth it.

I don't watch much tv some times film4 will show a
film that I will watch but most of my time I spend fly-tying,
making fishing floats, re-building old vintage fishing rods +
I have my garden, the two wonderful greyhounds PIP &
PEBBLES but I'm always playing music.

I've been watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia quite a lot recently. It's really funny.

I've been watching lots of older shows like the office and arrested development. My mom and stepdad watch the bachelor/ette, and my sister watches vampire diaries.

I still don't watch TV really. I might see something I like on You Tube then download a full copy but as-its-broadcast-TV, almost never.
