I went there when I was here as a student and it really is fun! Did you like the whale shark?

Do you like cats?
If so, I have something for you here:

HL: My first credit card purchase went to helping fund refugee rescues. Not overly surprised, and happy my donation can go to two people. I just happened to go on the website for a non-profit I follow to check if they'd updated their online shop yet and saw they almost had the amount needed for one rescue so I added the remainder. I'm hoping to eventually do fundraisers and monthly donations to them and other non-profits doing similar work.

LL: unbelievably disappointed with 56 million Americans. What a huge step backwards in so many ways.
HL: intense butthurt of self-righteous "you dont agree with me therefor you're uneducated racist bigot idiot" people, everywhere

LL: US election result. I really can't believe so many people can be so misled. Talking about murder is always wrong but honestly, if there ever was a US president that someone should assassinate...
If his administration doesn't drop a nuke somewhere in the next 12 months I will be incredibly surprised.

Possible but unlikely, i think the people around him will stop him, like how they confiscated his twitter account in order to save him.

its a uniquely Miyazaki film, one only he could make and its uniqueness places it beyond being easily critiqued.[About Porco Rosso] taken from a quote of Saddletank and Orphic Okapi

It is an accomplished fact and there is nothing that we can do about it...
All we can hope for is that the people around him and the governments normal checks and balances will rein him in to a great extent...

HL: I got a new laptop after mine fell apart completely. Might be able to take it to the store since it's still under their warranty and get reimbursed. Just happy because I really need to finish up my JET application and the broken laptop was making it difficult and impossible to write the essay portion (wrote mine in a day last year, not overly worried as long as some friends can check it over).
I loooove the keyboard and touch pad on this laptop so much more. Almost bought a 2-in-1 laptop that would've been great but it was a little above my budget. I loved the Asus I had so I got another one.
Now to finish this application.. aha.... ha..
Momentarily blocking out Trump because it honestly makes my stomach sick.

HL:
Had a good day yesterday with a couple of friends...
Nov.11 Veterans Day
Had a free breakfast at Denny's
Toured the now closed Whitewater Trout Farm... and other ruins in the area...
Had a free lunch at Chili's...
Had a free dinner at Applebee's
Later that evening we had a free chili dog and fries at Der Weinerschnitzel and bought a small sundae each to cap off the day...
Went home and cleaned all my guns...

Going shooting with some friends. Tara is bringing her pre-Civil War Hawken .50 caliber black powder rifle (looking forward to firing that) I've shot her Navy revolver .36 cal. BP from 1850's era... That is history firsthand...!!!

HL: Woo, I've lost over 10 lbs since this summer. Starting to feel like I'm losing a lot more or more likely my weight is shifting around.
Have everything ready for my JET application to apply for early departure, which is super unlikely but I thought I might as well. Only took me ten minutes to get my criminal record check done. Just have to finish up the actual application. Aha...

HL: inaugurating my new sketchbook with a drawing of Yuuri Katsuki from Yuri!!! on Ice. I was a bit shocked, I think it's been two years since I completed a proper drawing but this flowed from my pencil with barely a hitch. The gods smile on me today, it seems.

Because Yuuri is life.
HL: I'm finished my application~! YES.
Just need to last minute edit the essay and submit it then skedaddle off to the post office. Was starting to give up on myself but tbh Yuuri inspired me to finish it.

HL: ONE OK ROCK announced a world tour and they'll be back in Toronto. Now watch me waste an insane amount of money so I can meet them..
I'm not digging their latest English album though.. I don't think that's actually their fault but possibly the American label. Also in the new music videos you can barely see their faces besides Taka's a few times... ._. Don't erase my boys.
Highlight of yesterday: my parents will be visiting around Christmas! I wasn't sure it would work out because of finances, but the flights are booked now.
