Hi all,
Rest assured that your bookmarks will continue to load valid pages. NN is referenced on countless web pages, books, etc and it's not in our best interest to break all those links.
If you used the news feed it's simply changed locations and is available in both RSS and Atom formats.
As the OP indicated the primary near-term focus is porting the existing content to the wiki, a substantial task given 11 years of accumulation.
I'd be happy to answer any concerns or questions and hear how you've used the site in the past.

I went on the respective page for every Ghibli film I've ever watched, after watching it. Reading all the extra info is pretty rewarding, great job on the site.

I agree with Theowne, if I ever want to know anything about Ghibli movies I click my Nausicaa.net bookmark first.
The fact it won't be updated any more isn't a big problem for me as I tend to have interest in the older Ghibli movies anyway and those pages are more or less static it seems.
I find things like the scripts and VA credits especially useful.

Actually, the thing that appealed to me was how, aside from the site map, navigation was like going through the maze. It was appealing because it felt like everytime I went to some page, I would find a link I've never seen, and come to a page I've never come across.
In fact, even the site map wasn't complete. Like Shizuku said, it's like finding a house of treasures.
So news aside, I'd much prefer using the old website to a wiki copycat. ut then I'm old-fashioned, so meh.

In a way I agree, there seems to be this fashion to wiki-fy everything these days and the end result isn't always better although it is easier to update content providing you have trusted people working on it.
