Hm, I don't think meat pies are common here...I rarely hear of them being eaten. And I've never come across a restaurant or food type place that sells meat pies. Might be just me...
I crave sushi too ^_^ I thought I was the only one that ever did that xP But there are loads of sushi places around here so my craving is satisfied very soon.

Aww...*pats Husky's head*
Don't cry...you can't help living in a place without sashimi and meat pies...and what other foods aren't available to you? xP
Heh, and here I was jealous of Mushka living in Vancouver.
You can always make them yourself?

Hee hee. I'm practically swimming in sashimi here, and I don't even eat it because I'm vegetarian

Today I am cooking Martin's chicken:
Serves 3-6.
Ingredients.
1 chicken breast per person. If you are a veggie, you can use some of those soya-based steak things. In the UK quorn steaks work fine. Pre-cook these until there is no pink meat left. I bake them in the oven in a tinfoil covered dish.
2 cans of condensed mushroom soup.
1 cup mayonnaise (8 tablespoons).
1 teaspoon curry powder.
Juice of 1/2 lemon.
Chicken stock cube.
1 broccoli par-boiled. You can use 2 for more than 4 people.
2-3oz grated cheese.
Method.
Grease a large casserole dish. Put broccoli in the bottom. Place the chicken on top. Mix all the other ingredients except the cheese and pour over ensuring the broccoli and chicken are covered. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake in a moderate oven (170deg) for 30 minutes.
We serve this over large baked potatoes. Note this is NOT a very slimming dish

I finally got my hands on some Mackrel today, it isn't fresh (which is annoying) but it will do. My Granddad told me a really nice way of cooking it, stuff it full of onions and oranges, and put lots on the top as well. Wrap in tin foil and cook for half an hour. Tastes awesome. I may be biased though, I was told this on my first sea fishing trip with him and caught a bin liner full of mackrel. Sadly he's no longer with us, and incidentally, was the first funeral I ever had to go to.
Not to end on a downer, I also got some salmon steaks, fresh as well!
