I would like to thank all of you. When I see your films I cry until my tears are gone and all my friends are laughing at me. I've never in all my life seen such beauty and mastery in the film industry. The quality of your productions is only matched by the amazing story-lines you employ, which I'd say is your biggest boast. Honestly, through most of my childhood I was a pessimist and saw no love or fellowship in the world, but one day "Kiki's Delivery Service" came on on the WB. This single-handedly made me the person I am today. For the gift you've given me, I must say thank you and I will always love you. <3
+1... actually +2
Hayao Miyazaki would have to be the most amazingly talented, imaginative, beautiful, creative and brilliant mind in entertainment.
Howl's Moving Castle made me cry.
He reminds me very much of Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo) another amazing/brilliant person.
They could do a Zelda Anime
Play 'Zelda: Ocarina of Time' and you'll know what I mean, the Japanese are truly amazing

I've always found it strange how many people from Britain there are here. Lets see, there's me, arren, matthew, frigidchill, Maho, Saddletank... CDB. Reecetard too I think? Yeah. So... the forums active members are actually mostly Brits...? ._. Wow.
And a British convict

Howl's Moving Castle, just ahead of Spirited Away
Two brilliant, beautiful and amazing stories, there are many brilliant anime but these two just do it for me

I loved Howl's Moving Castle, absolutely fell in love with it.
... I'd have to say Howl, beautiful, powerful yet has a kind and gentle heart.
Thought he is not my favourite character, close but there are sooo many amazing Ghibli characters I could never pin one as my favourite

... just because alot of my favourite anime are Ghibli (Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Tales from Earthsea etc).
I never pay much attention to who makes what but with the brilliance and beauty of Ghibli films you begin to notice and remember.
The first digital production to capture my heart was a game called 'Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' (another Japanese company/production) the story, characters, visually... it was just beautiful and its the same with Ghibli films.
As it stands (and I don't see it changing in the future), Ghibli is easily my favourite anime film studio.
