I went to a midnight show of it. I was so happy because how often do you get to see a midnight show of a Miyazaki movie? The one thing that kept going through my mind was the word, "Cute!" It was just a very lovely film. So beautiful. And I was happy to hear they kept some of the honorifics. (Sensai!) I definitely want to see it again.

Is that what she was saying? I honestly had no idea what she was saying there. LOL.

I work at a movie theater as a projectionist. We got the Ponyo trailer this week and I put it in front of My Sister's Keeper (as was suggested by the company). My theater probably isn't getting Ponyo and we're not supposed to be putting trailers up for movies we aren't getting... but to heck with that. I wanted to see the trailer on the big screen.
I watched the trailer tonight after everyone left. Miyazaki's work is absolutely gorgeous when it's presented with a digital projector. I can't wait for the movie.

Watching Samurai 7. I'm on episode 17 and there's 26 of them. I should finish it this week.

Princess Mononoke! -Forever and always-
But I do really enjoy Ocean Waves. Though it is so hard to find good subtitles for it.

I liked the poster fine. I know that Disney is going to do anything possible to get this film to appeal to american audiences. If they think that is what's going to get people in the theater, then they can do what they want. They're not trying to appeal to the people who know Miyazaki's work so much, the people who are going to see the film and buy the dvd anyway. They are not trying to appeal to us. They have our attention. They want their general audience and I'm fine with them doing what they need to do to get it.
Though I did just see the english trailer and it seems.... different. I know they're just trying to appeal to their audience and I don't believe any changes were made without much consideration of the original work.

Wow that's really cool looking. Some people are so talented.
I've never seen advertising for sheets with any ghibli films on them. I guess I will keep my eyes open.

My brother has decided that he wants his future nursery to have a ghibli theme. Unfortunately we have been unable to locate any ghibli sheets. We have found a few blankets, but nothing major. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Studio Ghibli fabric online. There's no rush to this since there is no baby on the way or anything. Anyway, I would be really glad if anyone can help out.

FullMetal Alchemist. I've never seen it before, I just picked it up at an anime expo and started watching it. I've become completely obsessed. I'm about half way through.

Wow. I wish this thread had existed the last time I came on here, I probably never would have left for such a long time.
These images are awesome, though I don't even know hardly any of the characters.

Whoa! That's really cool. I like how you've managed to integrate so much of the discussion into the webpage in a way that makes sense. The page titles ("Entertainment - Text" don't make a whole lot of sense though; you might want to change them. But the whole thing looks really fantastic! Now if only we could get more contributors...
Thanks for pointing that out! I completely forgot to change the page titles. Thank you so much!

The whole OPAC tagline and theme is nice, it works.
Thank you. That gives me hope. Also, did you see your contribution to the site? You're under the Thought of the moment

OK... Well I really don't mind too much, Just as long as I'm not ignored here....but we really should have a proper video game thread here.
Anyway, Website is done! Sort of... I had a lot of problems with DreamWeaver. Like... getting text to match other text... and why is it that images have to look horrible? I mean, I created something that looked quite good in photoshop, but then when I went to put it on the website the quality was forced way down. Consequently, all of the images look like poo. If anyone knows how to fix that... or get around that... it would be cool if you could tell me within the next 12 hours so I could fix it before I turned it in. Or you could just tell me and I will fix after I turn it in and hopefully teacher won't notice.
Anyway, here it is. Don't expect much, it is my first one after all.
OPAC

I was going between We Play Too and OPAC. I finally decided OPAC. But I would like to use the phrase We Play Too on the site.
Thank you so much everyone. I know I have been away for a while, all I can say is that school ruins my life.
Anyway, I would like the any girl gamers here to do me a big favor and write a little something that I can use on the site. I would very much like it if ..Ayami.., Kazegami, Mushka and anyone else who is female and likes video games to participate.
I was going to give specific questions, but I would rather just give you a general direction and have you write what you want.
Some suggestions:
What games do you like? Why?
What do you think of being female and a gamer? Do you find it weird/exciting/akward?
What do you want to tell the world about yourself?
You can give a little background on yourself if you want. I'm going to post what you write under a featured players section. Hopefully, if all goes well, it will be up in 1-2 weeks. Thanks for your time everyone!
Oh! Also, who is your favorite video game character? This question is a must answer, because I'm going to be making little icons for you guys... er girls. Thanks again.

The live action version is freaking hilarious! The most corniest thing I have ever seen. My friend has the whole first season of it on DVD.
The American live action version, that I don't think even aired, isn't worth even looking at. It's not even fun corny, it's just sad corny.
