I got ahold of a few Sue Grafton mystery novels and I am currently reading "P is for Peril"... Kinsey Millhone is the main character, a female private detective...

Yes, quite easily, a personal skill I developed in myself when I was in the Navy...

The next person has been at the controls of a small airplane in flight, actually steering the aircraft...

Watched "Tall Girl" last night, about, guess what?, the tallest girl in her school. (Just the opposite of what I dealt with in school, being quite short, lol...)

It was alright, but I don't really have an interest in watching "Tall Girl, 2"...

Watched "Moxie" last night... a live-action film about a high school girl dealing with problems at school... Held my attention throughout... some sadness, some humor, some angst... I liked it...

Hahaha, Fen! the Disneyland Submarine ride was one of the three submarines I have been aboard... The other two were the U-505 U-boat on display outside the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and a USNavy supply submarine open for tours, also in Chicago...

The next person is going to try a 'Peanut Butter' w/ 'Bread n Butter Pickle' sandwich...

(Made famous in the Sue Grafton private detective novels about Kinsey Milhone... [This was a comfort food for the Character] tasty, too...)

Just finished watching "True Spirit" about 16 yr old Australian, Jessica Watson, who sailed around the World solo in 2010 leaving Sydney, Australia and returning to the same port of Sydney in 210 days BY HER SELF!!! I loved the scenery and realism...

A true story that I recommend to everyone, young people especially!

Tried to watch Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" last night and got to the part where the wood puppet was just about to start school and I HAD to shut it off... I just couldn't stand watching it any longer... Thinking back, I can't really say WHAT it was that was making it distasteful to me, but I couldn't watch it any longer...

Watched "Megan Leavey" today... IMO, A very good movie about a troubled girl that joins the Marine Corps and becomes a dog handler... I won't say anything more about the movie, but suffice to say that I cried real tears, not just watering eyeballs. I really enjoyed the movie...

When my old 7 laptop went belly up, I had to go tp the 10 that I had bought for just that purpose, but anguished over the loss of ALL the local historical that was on the 7...

A few months later, a local puter-smart friend came to my aid... I didn't know that it was possible, but he took the harddrive from the old 7 and took the harddrive out of an external harddrive and dropped mine in and VOILA!!!

Guess, I can add an L/L-H/L here as well...

L/L- My Ex- passed away Mar 22, of stage 4 Cervical Cancer.. She was diagnosed only 3 weeks previous... We had become friends again abt 2 yrs ago and I last spoke with her 2 weeks before she passed... At that time, she was in good spirits, unfortunately, her systems began shutting down... Our two sons were with her at the time. Our daughter had begun making plans to come and see her, but there wasn't enough time...

But---

She (my Daughter) had discovered that she could set up flights in June and so that is my H/L.. I wish her Mother could have lasted awhile longer...

True...

My 'Grannie Brown' who was born in the Seven Oaks area of London in 1864... When I was 5 yrs old, I have a photo of her, my two Aunts and my newborn cousin, Shelagh in Vancouver, Canada.. I remember spending one or more nights in her flat there... She passed in 1960... One of her daughters, (my Grandmother) passed at 91 when the auto she was riding in was broadsided...

(Apparently, the maternal side of my family are long-lived... My mother only made it to 78 when she passed from Cancer and Heart probs... Later this year, I'll hit the 78 mark...)

The next person has never been aboard a Submarine...

Watched the movie "Suzume" (2023) esrly this morning and although (to me at least) rather convoluted and a bit hard to follow, especially when there was a lot of conversation in Japanese that did not seem to be subtitledm while most of it was...

A bit of trivia that I found on IMDb:
"Makoto Shinkai cites the short story "Super-Frog Saves Tokyo" and the novel "Kafka on the Shore," both by Haruki Murakami, as well the anime film Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) as the main inspirations for this film...

Edit: broad letters mine...
