Hmm, wonder if there'll be any snow when I visit home this Christmas. Would be nice.
HL: working from home today, so I went out and visited a new café at lunchtime. Well, part café, part vintage Scandinavian furniture shop. They do a good lunch! But the place is a bit out of the way, so I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon.
LL: sore throat.

I heard the last three performances are virtually sold out. I'm not sure what, but it seems like we did something right. In the beginning, they kept telling us how hard it would be to get enough people, but... here we are.
HL/LL: house-hunting. I'm excited to be moving into a new place, but the whole process is a bit nerve-wracking. So much to do and very little time. @_@

HL: So, over the past six months, I've been making a musical. Partly the reason I've been absent for a while. Anyway, the curtain finally went up this weekend and the reception's been amazing! We pretty much filled the theatre on both days and the feedback from the audiences has been very positive. It's a miracle this thing got off the ground. We had little time, little money, and few people, but we worked our butts off and made it happen somehow. I'm really proud and thankful to everyone involved. Three more days to go!

Hmm, the only one of these I've seen is Horus, Prince of the Sun. It was years ago, so I don't remember much about it, but I recall not liking it very much.
I'd be interested to watch Gauche the Cellist and Heidi sometime.

I recently watched the new Tolkein series, The Rings of Power. Although the story was a little silly at some points, I really enjoyed it! Visually, it was really stunning. Gorgeous cinematography.

HL: long weekend. Went out yesterday with friends for shopping and karaoke, sang all night, got the first bus home. Now just enjoying a lazy evening.

HL: This weekend, a friend and I successfully rehomed a stray cat! He's been taken in by a good friend of mine and seems to have settled in well. I'm so glad. I don't know what would've happened to him otherwise. I'll be able to visit him often too, which is a real bonus.

Having a lot of fun with the recently released Xenoblade Chronicles 3 right now. Great characters, music, aesthetics... Actually, my main issue right now is how overwhelming a lot of the mechanics are. I'm managing fine, but I feel like I'm not utilising it all properly. It's a long game, though, and I have a looong way to go, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it all eventually. Not sure how I feel about the class-switching system, to be honest. Feels unnecessary. I was quite happy with the old system where if you want to play a particular style - DPS, tank, healer etc, you just switched character. Now any character can be any class. I suppose the freedom to customise is nice, and I appreciate how they tied the mechanics in with the story, but yeah... I think I liked it how it was.

I watched Tsurune last week. In summary, pretty boys doing kyudo (Japanese archery). It was fine, a bit paint-by-numbers though. It was made by KyoAni, so of course it looked very pretty, but the core aspects, the story, characters, were a bit lacking. I give it a 6/10.

HL: Went to Tokushima today for the Awa Odori festival! I've seen it on film many times, so it was great to finally watch the real thing. The dancers were fantastic, though I don't know how they managed to perform in that heat x_x Nice to see such a range of ages among the dancers too, from little children to grandpas.

Ah, I have a couple of non-binary friends. I've wondered if I'm that way myself now and then, but I don't think so. People like that have always existed, though, all over the world. 'Non-binary' is just a recent way to describe it.
HL: Had a long weekend and traveled to Hiroshima with a friend. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. The okonomiyaki was great. We visited nearby Miyajima on the second day, and on the third, Onomichi, where one of my favourite manga is set.
LL: Really struggling to get enough sleep these days... There's always something to do; work, homework, more work. They tell us not to push ourselves too much, but these things need to get done, and I don't like to disappoint anyone. Need to redress the balance somehow, though.
