but apparently the shipping department mixed up the orders and you get the wrong size and color!

I wish the concorde was up flying again (and I was one of the new pilots!)

All of you are SOO right about the Nausicaa manga! If I had one wish for Miyazaki, it would be to transform the manga series into an anime series (here's where I got all 7 volumes from: http://www.animecornerstore.com/). Let me repost my paragraph from the "favorite scenes" thread:
Princess Kushana in a ditch on the ground protecting two of her surviving soldiers, from a gigantic attack of enraged insects at the surface. While she's remembering her psychologically ill mother, one of those insects with a soldier half chewed in its mouth, sees her in the ditch, but accepting death she peacefully looks at it, and after a brief while the insect flies away (much to her surprise)

Princess Kushana is trully one of my favorite and most admirable characters of all times, especially because she wasn't a superwoman, she went through the same sufferings in her family as many people do. Unfortunatelly she was portrayed so differently in the movie...

Actually after reading this thread, I feel like such a novice in the manga world (I actually discovered Miyazaki and restarted watching animes only at the beginning of this year), but actually I'm happy to see there are many things for me to discover!

wish granted! subsequently you talk to your friends about all the animes you've been watching, including the ones that haven't been out yet, well somehow that leaks out and the rumors finally reach the anime studios who do a bit of investigation and decide to call the equivalent of the FBI where you are. You're proven guilty, arrested and is forced to pay rental fees for all the animes you've watched for free!!! Unfortunatelly you got so addicted to animes that you watched hundreds of them!

I wish I wish I wish......... I wish I had Racer X's race car from speed racer!!!!

Just like to give my congratulations to all who entered (unfortunatelly the most elaborate arts program I have on my laptop is Microsoft Paint!), spectacular arts display! I think one of the memorable ones was kittycatjess's Grave of the fireflies sig, because it was such a memorable and emotionally powerful movie...

I won't reveal too much of my current project, but I can tell its name: Gondola. It's naturally much more realistic in terms of plot development, nevertheless very much out of this world. If I had to sum up the film in one sentence, it would be the longest sentence you'll ever see.

I'll post a poster of it someday. For now, I can guarantee this: the work will be done before the year changes.

Sounds like an interesting and very involved project. We'll be looking foward to seeing it...

Wish granted! But the pilot who takes you there (stop thinking its me!) on a brand new ship is a rookie on his first lunar trip who cheated his way to graduation, ends up doing a hard landing and flipping the ship over on the far side of the moon (mistook a starlike feature inside a crater for a lunar base). The ship's fuel lines catch fire and the subsequent explosion pulverizes the ship leaving you and the pilot with a few hours of air in your spacesuits

I wish.......... I had a race horse!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Nausicaa (movie): when she takes off her mask while flying over the sea of corruption, to talk to her fellow tribesmen in that old glider

Nausicaa (manga): Princess Kushana (who's a totally different person than in the movie) in a ditch on the ground protecting two of her surviving soldiers, from a gigantic attack of enraged insects at the surface. One of those insects with a soldier half chewed in its mouth, sees her in the ditch, but accepting death she peacefully looks at it, and after a brief while the insect flies away (much to her surprise)

Porco Rosso: the bit where Rosso sees his friends' spirits on their airplanes, fly away to the sky towards what looks like a celestial river but actually are many other spirits from dead pilots and their airplanes.

Princess Mononoke: When the forest spirit kisses that giant leader of the wild pigs who was mortally injured, and peacefuly takes his life

Spirited away: when Chihiro remembers Haku's name when they're flying, also when that no face spirit finds a new home with that witch's sister (the good sister!)

Laputa: when those two arrive at the castle for the first time and start exploring it

Here are a few memorable ones that I remember:

Whip it good (devO) the quintessential 80's song!
Video killed the radio star
What are words for (missing persons)
We've got the beat, vacation (Gogo's)
Pacman fever (very early '80's)
99 red balloons
Ran so far away, space age love song (Flock of Seagulls)
Don't you forget about me (Simple Minds, theme song from the classic movie 'The Breakfast Club')
She's tight, surrender (Cheap Trick)
Abacab (Genesis)

Originally posted by Phyrra BTW, aviator; I'm glad I answered your question. Some video games these days have massive stories and fantastic lore behind them...

That's interesting to know, I'm totally enjoying the Fate Stay Night series which Roarkiller pointed out came from a game. If series like FSN come from games I hope they make more of them, actually Legend of Zelda looks interesting already!

wish granted! But the dragon has a mind of his/her own and could care less where you want to go, and so after a few days of constant flying you finally arrive at his/her home, inside a volcano island in the middle of the pacific! you actually make it out of the volcano, only to find that the rest of the island is populated by vicious cannibalist tribes!

I wish I was a race car driver!
