I just wanted this to be a story made by Studio Ghibli fans.....If no one wants to, that's fine with me, I just thought it would be something cool to do.

I can come up with different scenerios, but they are all cliched ones of one boy and girls and funny, embarrassing things that happen at school sort of thing or vice versa with one girl and boys... I am just not good at originating story lines. Give me a direction to go in and I might be able to come up with something, but other than that, I'm stumped... I know that the others in the Tavern like to do these things and would probably join in, so go ahead and give it a start... |

Posted by MiyazakiGirl on 01.26.2015, 10:38 PM: I've come up with a vague start of the storyline...

Posted by husky51 on 01.27.2015, 11:11 AM: Mitio Takahashi is a guy who, being an avid reader, seems to know a lot for being a guy who passes his grades, but never under 50 in his class rankings. He is ? years old, unruly black hair, with green eyes, which is unexplained. He generally keeps to himself, but likes Riko and Ryuki. He lives three doors away from them with his maternal Grandmother. He is otaku and spends a good portion of his day, with his manga and anime... Does ok in sports, but not a passion of his and thusly not very talented along athletic lines.

Posted by MiyazakiGirl on 01.27.2015, 07:30 PM: I think there might be some confusion with the age of the main characters, I've just done some research and would like to say the twins are in Middle School. I made a mistake, in Australian public schools, there is no middle school, you start highschool when your 12 turning 13! Oops...

Posted by Saddletank on 01.28.2015, 07:35 AM: I think we had that discussion before, probably when talking about character ages in our RPG. In Japan, its like this:

Posted by Tea Master Tall on 03.13.2015, 07:37 AM: The creation of a whole fantasy world is no easy task. I can't say I'm fond of the cupboard idea. Too Narnia-esque for me, I guess? I don't know... In general doors of any kind used as portals to different worlds are rather cliche. I think Spirited Away managed to create a pretty original way of transporting Chihiro into the Spirit world (Well, it was more like the Spirit world came to her, but oh well). I can't think of a cool way to get them into the other world right now, but I know I wouldn't want it to be via cupboard. Perhaps the plot could involve Mitio more, since he's the only character that has a background which seems to invoke interest. Maybe his parents aren't really dead, but trapped in the other world - perhaps a world of his own creation? He can avoid the issues he has with his parents by keeping them there. That way when Ryuki & Riko discover his secret world he is angry. I don't know what problems he'd have with his parents, but it's just an idea...
