  Anticipated anime/manga

Anything coming up soon that you're looking forward to? I don't remember having a thread like this before, so this is somewhere to talk about news on upcoming anime and manga.

At the moment, I'm excited about Kill la Kill. It's the first proper series from Studio Trigger, which was founded by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking) after he left Gainax. The character designs are pretty cool, and the premise sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I've been looking forward for quite some time to seeing what Trigger would come out with.

....... each season is called a book........

Yes.

... I am so utterly confused...

Yay,yay! You know that you said 'each season is called a book' and that's correctly! Now,what do you not understand?

Posted by fenkashi on 05.25.2013, 09:51 AM:

Ehh I missed the start of this season. Any good light-hearted stuff?

And the confusion stems from you asking about reading Korra... which is a tv show. While I'm on the subject, was anyone else disappointed by Korra?

Korra was... very flat, if you will. And short, in my opinion. I really loved ATLA, and Korra was a letdown to me. It seemed underdeveloped and rushed.

Also let down by Korra. Primarily the ending. The last few episodes seemed very rushed, and I didn't like how everything was wrapped up in a neat little bow. I would have much preferred if Book 1 ended with Korra having lost her bending powers, and then Book 2 revolved around her trying to get them back. Or something. Anything but the silly deus ex machine they pulled.

Oh, I'm surprised to hear that. As somebody who hasn't actually seen Korra (or the old Avatar for that matter), I was under the impression that most people really liked it!

Some of my friends watched LOK, then watched ATLA. I guess they preferred Korra because it was made for a teen-ish audience. Though I find most of the characters in LOK to be really..... .... either void of emotion or really annoying...

I've been meaning to try the Kimi no Iru Machi manga for a while but haven't got to it... so, kinda looking forward to the anime this season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUjguf_Ys7s

In the "currently watching" thread I mentioned the follow-up to Little Witch Academia, so there's that. Also, Kill la Kill has been confirmed for October. Nothing else that I know of is coming up though!

Finished Kare Kano

21 volumes in 3 days[one day in a week] fast or slow don't have a idea.

Thanks Saddle and Husky to recommend it

I can not exactly say i like it actulally i hated the romance part it gave me creepy[guilty feeling that i am doing something bad] feeling.

However the psychological part was interesting, freshened up the school[junior and senior high] years of mine [do not want to elaborate that] yes i think it is a problem for many asian kids.It is hard to live up-to the expectation of everyone.I am just happy that Allah saved me.Many just despaired in darkness[involve into criminal activity or take drugs]

I found it amazing when i compare myself to younger me so many of my habits changed but my views have not. i would like to keep it that way for the rest of my life what Allah gave me.

edit:
found out posted in wrong thread. sorry for the inconvenience.
