Wow. Powerlines are some of my favourite things to look for on roadtrips. Those would be so epic to see along the way!

A time-lapse taken from the front of the International Space Station as it orbits our planet at night. This movie begins over the Pacific Ocean and continues over North and South America before entering daylight near Antarctica.

I agree and I wish many more people could see this, and more importantly, understand this...

When ever my nephew had troubles in school, he was immediately diagnosed as having ADHD and medicated. This made him easier for the teachers to control, but I saw nothing else changing. He didn't seem to get smarter, just less notes from the school about his behaviour. And of course, he was passed on every year so that he wouldn't be 'left behind'. That was a great incentive for kids my age. I sure as hell didn't want to be 12 yrs old and only in third grade. I didn't like it, but believe me, I studied.

hahaha, I had to laugh about the picture of the man in Washington, D.C.... Sure looked a lot like our last President...

That was brilliant! Thank you for sharing, fenkashi.

I've always hated the modern day education system. What makes it even more depressing is the fact that it only spoke of a FEW of the many problems that make modern education so pitifully dysfunctional. The animation was cool to watch, too.

This whole website is fascinating, awesome, cool and creepy in equal measure. I especially was struck by this section though.

Wow, an Ekranoplan! So cool! But too bad it was for the army.
It looks downright Torumekian.

Husky: Wow, that was scary. So many of those cars were actually afloat with people inside them... I always thought cars sank. I suppose modern vehicles are sealed much better for reasons of passenger safety and air-con so they have a good bubble of air trapped inside them. The ending looked pretty grim though I'm guessing the driver survived?

Fen: Haha, that was fun, though a bit weird. I only got 58%...
