Posted by husky51 on 02.19.2018, 02:55 PM: I don't know why, but I am never able to 'see' any of the photos posted in here, even tho I have an active 'Photobucket' account...?

Posted by arren18 on 02.20.2018, 12:19 AM: TWO years? I saw your post and at first I thought it must be one. Wow!
|
Posted by Saddletank on 02.20.2018, 07:47 AM: Photobucket a while ago began to charge customers if they wanted to get their pics to show up on other sites. A completely stupid decision as apparently its totally killed the company. Nobody uses it now as the only reason 95% of people use image hosting sites is to show them elsewhere.

Posted by husky51 on 03.14.2018, 06:03 PM: RIP, Stephen Hawking... |
Posted by Kazegami on 03.14.2018, 06:14 PM: Sad day indeed. That he lived this long and and achieved so much in spite of his condition speaks so much for the strength of the man.
|
Posted by saviour2012 on 03.16.2018, 04:40 AM: alternatively we could be happy that he lived 50 years more than the doctors predicted and helped us understand the universe a little bit better
|
Posted by Saddletank on 03.16.2018, 04:47 AM: Not so much "alternatively" but "as well as". Mourning his passing with sadness is always right and respectful but his achievements and the path he blazed to greater understanding of the cosmos and our place in it is what he will always be remembered for.

Posted by arren18 on 03.17.2018, 11:21 AM: Yeah, I'd agree with both sides of it. It's very sad news, but at the same time it's amazing that he lived so long and managed to accomplish so much.

Posted by husky51 on 03.17.2018, 11:58 AM: WOW! HL:

Posted by Saddletank on 03.18.2018, 07:02 PM: More than now, definitely. About 10 to 12 years ago we had an anime-based RPG running and the place was buzzing then. Quite a few regulars seem to have drifted away when that ended.
|
Posted by arren18 on 03.18.2018, 07:31 PM: In the past few years it's died down a lot. There's been less new material to make new people come along, and at the same time many long-time members have just become busy with other things. But as Saddles says, there was much more going on in the past.
|
Posted by husky51 on 03.18.2018, 09:07 PM: So many members came in their younger years and as they grew older they went on to other interests over the years and just plain grew up...
