I just spent 3 hours watching some Dae Jang Geum with english subtitles for the first time in a year or two. So, now I have to recommend this Korean show to everybody here. Basically, in my list of favorite shows, Dae Jang Geum (pronounced Dai Churng Gum in Cantonese) is my favorite series followed shortly by pokemon, a-team, new tricks, and Midsomer murders.
I'm not going to summarize Jang Geum because 1- I'm too lazy 2- the show sounds stupid, but it's quite awesome, and 3- because I know I'm going to make you curious and watch it- hint hint hint.

The Bourne series.

And thinking of catching Winter Sonata, just because.

"Dead Poets Society"

I have seen this movie 2 or 3 times before and I admire the loyalty ( ? ) that the teacher iinstills in his students and the way he tries to 'break the mold' in the academic stuffiness...

I also like the poem, "Oh Captain, My Captain" by Walt Whitman...

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:

But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

I watched Arrietty for the first time... I love it! I've watched the original; The Borrowers. I like Arrietty more, though...
I've been watching Criminal minds for the past week. I don't get why I can watch this and not watch Paprika just because it's rated R... pffttttttttttttttttt...

I hadn't seen any of the director's other films before, so even though it's supposedly atypical of his material, that didn't really affect my experience. Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot. It was very weird and entertaining, and sweet in a way that wasn't overdone. I think it's definitely worth watching, but it can be quite confusing early on.

Omg i love that movie so much! its my favourite!

We get 'Criminal Minds" here and, even though it is bit unrealistic, I enjoy it...

Not being bias or anything but this is because British Humour/ Comedy is the best!!!

Oh and San Toelle Ul Shichikokuyama-g where are you from, I know it is a bit off topic but your choice of favourite tv series of New Tricks and Midsummer murders, also favourites of mine, make you sound like you are from the UK.

I agree with you there, Kaze...

When I was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia visiting my daughter's and her family, I was in a book store and bought one of the 'Bourne' novels... I still have it...

I saw Thor, it was meh, but it was mildly entertaining, and Loki was cuuuuute. I'll get The Avengers sometime, going by the sheer volume of hype it should be a better film, and it has more Loki.

The Avengers is really fun! And there is plenty of Loki in it Which is good because Tom Hiddleston is adorable.
