Posted by Saddletank on 07.19.2012, 01:08 PM: NC - I have no idea! I suppose the only people who would are girls who've been to all-girl schools as well, but I can imagine that a lot of this is exploded out of all proportion because its a manga and aimed at a certain demographic. There's straight fan-girl stuff in some other manga, such as Kare Kano where Soichiro has a huge girl fan club as well. I presume most of it is made up and just a stylised thing to emphasize what the character is like.

The only girl-girl relationship that I can recall is where the one girl student is infatuated with the teacher that she (and everyone else) thinks is a woman.

Posted by Nausicaa_Cat on 07.22.2012, 04:47 AM: Oh I see, fair enough I was just wondering. And ahaha oh dear, no Saddles it definitely earns it's adult title somewhat in the manga. Thus far there isn't really anything tooo bad but several of the characters are seen naked, there is talk of sex and certain R-rated antics occur between characters (though you don't actually see it happening, or haven't yet anyway). I'm still sticking with it because the general vibe is still pretty sweet and innocent but it certainly isn't completely clean. |
Posted by Saddletank on 07.22.2012, 06:51 AM: Oh, well, you've read further than me. I have only just begun the main characters' second year at school.

Posted by husky51 on 07.22.2012, 01:34 PM: I may have asked this before, but it seems that you are all reading your manga from online sites rather than from the books themselves... Where can I find these sites or better still, which would you recommend...

Posted by Kazegami on 07.22.2012, 04:27 PM: OneManga is the one I always used to use, but I think it's been closed down. I use MangaFox now when I do want to read something.

Posted by fenkashi on 07.27.2012, 10:21 AM: I read the end of Bokura Ga Ita finally. It has been so many years. <3 ;_;

Posted by Nausicaa_Cat on 07.30.2012, 10:15 AM: I use Mangafox too Husky I find it the easiest thing to do, since it's fairly difficult to get my hands on some of the newer mangas coming out.

Posted by Kazegami on 08.16.2012, 08:17 AM: D.Gray-man, still. It's up to 215 chapters now, I think. This stuff's getting confusing. And Allen cries too much.

Posted by Saddletank on 08.16.2012, 10:30 PM: Kare Kano. Miles and miles better than the anime and really dark towards the end of Arima's story.
|
Posted by husky51 on 08.17.2012, 01:52 AM: I second Saddles recommendation on Kare Kano... I have both the set and the anime. Anime is good, but the manga is better, IMO. |
