Last night I had my first rewatch of Kiki's Delivery Service in years! I should really watch all the Ghibli films more often than I do.

Started watching "Kleks Academy", but after 30 minutes or so, lost interest and turned it off...

Watched "Zootopia: Hot Pursuit"...Was just channel-hopping and saw it and decided to watch it... Kinda silly at times, but overall, I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the original Zootopia, but I've never heard of that. Is it some kind of spinoff?

Rewatched, "Ruby Gilman, Teenage Kraken".. Realized after the movie started that I had seen it before... typical, teenage angst, lol

yes, it came out the year after "Zootopia". As per the bio in IMDb, it opened Dec 2023 at the Shanghai Disney Resort as the centerpiece of the park's new 'City of Zootopia Land'.

Just finished the movie "Megan Leavy", a tale based on the real life story of a female Marine who ended up in a war zone with her explosive's sniffing Dog, named Rex... And yes, I cried... it was a very emotional story...

Watched "The Emoji Movie" followed by "My Oni Girl"...
Emoji movie was colorful and silly, lol
Oni Girl was heartwarming...

Tried again to watch "Quintessential Quintuplets Movie" and just couldn't get into it... I was having trouble following the dialog and pattern of the story... gave it up after 10 minutes or so...

Couldn't sleep last night, so I got up and watched "My Neighbor Totoro" and enjoyed it AGAIN!!! It relaxed me and when I got in bed, went right to sleep...

It was the Dakota and Elle Manning Dub and for the first time, I started watching the movie in English... After a very few minutes, I had to reset the audio to Japanese with sub-titles... It just didn't feel right... lol

That's still how I always feel with dubs! No matter how well made they are, it always just seems off for me.

Hey, arren... I saw the warawara last night!!!

It seemed different from other Ghibi's, but definitely a Ghibli, if you know what I mean...

I'm definitely going to watch it again!!!

Glad you finally got to watch it! I also found that I wanted to rewatch it to work out my feelings on it, and I think the second viewing really helped.

My second viewing helped as well, but I think a third and/or fourth viewing is needed...

Don't get me wrong... It is still a good movie, but just a little more viewing is needed on my part to better understand it...

I saw a few films on my flights to and from Japan in the last couple of weeks. I watched the Tim Burton Batman films because I'd never got around to them before, so that was pretty fun! I also watched Past Lives, which I really enjoyed.
