I agree that it always cheers me up. When I've had a bad day, I always watch it. I'm a sucker for a romance. And if my friends haven't seen Ghibli, I don't give them an option...I make them watch Howl's Moving Castle. Anyways...does it get any better than Billy Crystal as a "scary fire demon??"

What the heck! A castle walking around the countryside with a silly fire spirit for its motive and soul power?
A castle where, from within, all you need to do to determine your intended destination is to rotate a dial?
A castle that is host to one of fantasy worlds fine heroes and one hugely wonderfully unassuming heroine?
A castle story conceived, originally, by a gifted English authoress. And this same castle brought to the cinema by the master.
Oh, sorry. was i going on here? Sorry.
Yes, yes and yes. View it, borrow it and then buy it. I have been vague enough, hopefully, to not give anything away -or too much? But if nothing else this film will raise your appreciation of this genre a couple of more notches.
