Crunchyroll reports that the DVD and BD of From Up on Poppy Hill are up on Amazon for $29.95 and $34.95. The theatrical release was handled by GKIDS while the home video release is from Cinedigm.

Hideaki Anno to Voice Jiro Horikoshi in Kaze Tachinu

The director of Evangelion and key person behind the Ohmu vs. God Soldier battle scene in Nausicaa is lending his voice to Jiro Horikoshi, the inventor of the Zero Fighter, in Miyazaki's upcoming film Kaze Tachinu.

Upcoming UK Cinema Releases, Studio Ghibli Museum Library Release

The UK Film Distributors' Association website lists Grave of the Fireflies and My Neighbor Totoro as showing for the 25th Anniversary of their original double bill, on May 24. Both are available to cinemas only as Digital Cinema Packages and will have an original-language version with English-language subtitles. It's possible that dubbed versions might be available as well, but it's not clear from the information so far. StudioCanal is distributing the films along with From Up on Poppy Hill which opens in the UK on August 2.

In Studio Ghibli Museum Library news their next theatrical release was announced at the end of April to be Arrugas, directed by Ignacio Ferreras, to be released in Japanese cinemas as Shiwa (??) on June 22. US distributor GKIDS has a release of it planned for sometime in 2013. year.
